FRENCH HEALTH CARE CARD VALIDATION ENTRUSTED
TO TRUSTED LABS

Trusted Labs selected to validate
new generation cards’ conformity
with specifications

cards2006

Versailles, November 8th, 2006 – Trusted Labs has been selected by the G.I.E. SESAM-Vitale, Project Supervisor of the SESAM-Vitale program to computerize health insurance documents, to validate its outsourced new-generation Vitale 2 cards’ conformity with the required specifications. Trusted Labs’ expertise in validation methodology and technology, coupled with its in-depth knowledge of embedded software – and smart cards in particular – were key factors influencing this choice.

Trusted Labs faced a threefold task, covering the whole of the validation process: from test plan design, to test script implementation, to execution of the actual test campaign.

SESAM-Vitale benefited both from Trusted Labs’ rigorous methodology, developed over years of experience, and from Trusted Labs’ unique in-house tool, TL CAT, which supports this methodology.

Three keywords characterize TL CAT benefits: coverage, diagnosis and optimization of development.
TL CAT thus balances best performance with optimal test development times.

“Trusted Labs’ testing methodology and tools had already proved their value in the context of MasterCard’s CAST [“Compliance & Assessment Security Testing”] evaluations. SESAM-Vitale benefited from this same expertise,” says Claire Loiseaux, CEO of Trusted Labs.

Already a recognized expert in the fields of security architecture for embedded systems, formal methods, Common Criteria and security evaluations, this new contract gave further recognition to Trusted Labs’ expertise in testing methodology and tools. Within 2006, Trusted Labs gained several new contracts for test suites development and new TL CAT licensees.
