Card Providers to benefit from launch of GlobalPlatform Card Compliance Program

GlobalPlatform announces the availability, from 1 May 2002, of the core components of its Card Compliance Program, including test plan, test suite, test tool and supporting documentation. GlobalPlatform worked in conjunction with ICC Solutions to develop and implement these core components, and had the test suite verified using Trusted Labs*'s Java Card™ / GlobalPlatform Simulator.

Trusted Labs* presents TL VSAM, an application bytecode verification and validation tool. The first TL VSAM implementation runs on an IBM PCI 4758 card.
