Government & Defense
e-Government applications are exploding everywhere - from health insurance cards to drivers’ licenses, ID cards, e-passports, access cards, citizen cards, and legally binding electronic signatures.
Security is a key requirement - whether to reduce fraud (health insurance) or the risk of terrorism.
Security requirements are therefore generally aligned with those of the banking business - and are sometimes even higher (typically Common Criteria EAL 4+ or 5+).
